Hey Reader,

I’m glad we pulled it through that mini sales launch.

Good to be back. Writing for you.

Yesterday, I saw 3-4 posts on LinkedIn with a recurring theme of “just post”.

I looked up “just post” in the dictionary. And it read “When a growth guru spurts complete and utter bullshit”. Blood straight to my head. Ding ding.

Might as well flush it down the toilet while you’re poopin’.

The only thing I can “just do” is eat (watermelon), sleep, write, repeat.

Ask yourself, you motherflower.

  • What does post mean?
  • How does it relate to your business?
  • What is the philosophy behind posting?

For the love of watermelon. Measure it. Here’s a proper breakdown.

Say you want to make $100,000 a year. And your offer is $2,000 a pop.

This is where the magic happens.

Reverse engineering.

If you post and get 19 comments. You have a pool of 19 “interested” people you can start conversations with.

If you get less than 19 comments. Check the likes. And do the same.

If you don’t have a total of 19 unique engagements. Start finding prospects from other creator’s audiences and send them outbound DMs.

Here’s an example outbound DM:

“Hey John,

Loved your comment on Justin Welsh’s post about X. The thing you said about Y resonated. Excited to follow along your journey.

Have a great day!”

And here’s 1 for a commenter.

“Hey Jane,

Thanks for commenting on my post. I appreciate it. How’s your week been?”

At this stage. You’re planting seeds.

11 unique conversations per day x 5 days a week. 55 in total.

Then there’s a follow-up. Aim for the call, not the sale. Check this infographic:

The more seeds you plant. The more you can quantify your actions.

Think long term.

55 conversations a week. 220 per month. 2,640 per year.

The principle of posting is to help you get eyeballs. Then, you can then start conversations. A good mix of posts and DMs is the finest balance.
